Reading in/Reading out
The performance reading in/reading out was presented at the main Hall of the Assembly of the Greek Old Parliament House. Virginia Mastrogiannaki read the whole text of the Constitution, from the beginning to the very end of it. The performance started at 4 pm and it lasted for 4 hours and 20 minutes. The reading of the Greek Constitution was continuous while exhaling and inhaling, transforming in this way the body into a “pneumatic” instrument. The idea of reading in/reading out is based on a technique that can be named "breathless reading".
